Rainforest Of The Sea Collection: Tarte Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette (VIDEO)

May 21, 2018

The pigments in the Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette are so good, I really want to try Tarte's Chrome Paint Shadow pots too! This would make a great gift for yourself or someone else! It's super fun. This is a limited edition palette that retails for $39 USD/$52 CAD at Sephora and on the Tarte website.

The Pigments:
The 3 foiled finger paints are so intense, it's hard to capture on camera! I love them. They feel and act kind of like the Colourpop Supershock Highlighters and Eyeshadow, but more are more pigmented in colour in one swipe and more intense in reflection. They're an impressive swatch for sure. Application is so easy. I was so happy to find I could apply them super opaquely with a flat brush and diffuse the edges with a blending brush. I don't apply them on a primer because they're so pigmented and emollient, I don't see why I would need one. Application started to break down around an hour for me, but nothing horrible.

The Shimmer:
That white shade is a ethereal and iridescent. It's yellow, gold, white, orange, blue and green. The other shade is a white and silver shimmer. This glitter is meant to be a light layer of sparkle that you can apply alone or on top of the pigments. I found it decent and worked very well for how it was intended.

I'm not a huge glitter fan because I find I gets everywhere. It's nice that this glitter is suspended in a gel. The shimmer is made out of PET aka micro plastic so I removed my application with tape rather than rinsing down the drain.Rainforest Of The Sea Collection: Tarte Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette. gold coast, sailors delight, sea glass, stargazer. best palette 2018. limited edition on sephora tarte. dupe. makeup geek foiled eyeshadow dupe.
