New Nude Lipsticks From Maison Jacynthe

December 06, 2017

Aren't these shades beautiful?! I love them. Maison Jacythe and Marco Marsolais did an amazing job at choosing the some of the prettiest nude lipstick shades i've seen. My skintone is fair neutral and both shades are light on me without washing me out. The shade 16 L'inimitable is a matte, light nude. It's not too beige which I find very desirable in a neutral nude lipstick. It applies lighter than it looks in the tube which i'm relieved about because I want to use it as a pale neutral lip to pair with colourful or dark smokey eye look. The shade 17 Chic is a matte, toned down pale pink. I like this one the best because it's more of an everyday shade. It has a pink undertone which is always flattering.

Both lipsticks can fully cover my dark lips after a few layers of application. The formula of these lipsticks is on the firm side so it takes a little longer to apply. There's some tug to your lips. The benefit of a more firm lipstick is that the bullet will maintain it's shape better, making precise application easier. You'll need to apply a lip balm first to give the lipstick some slip so that it applies more smoothly. I don't mind this because I can customize the formula more. Some days I want a super matte lip, other days I want something sheer and emollient.

These lipsticks are awesome because they are 93-100% natural. Only the red pigment is synthetic. The scent is natural, comprised of candelilla wax and Goji, which leans sweet. I think it's important that people who wear lipstick daily and don't diligently wipe it off before eating should use a natural lipstick. The scent is natural, comprised of candelilla wax and Goji, which leans sweet.

You can buy these lipsticks at Maison Jacynthe for $34.50 CAD or a refill for $24 CAD.
