A.co Glitter Eyeshadow Palette from Ardene REVIEW

Ardene makeup beauty review a.co glitter eyeshadow palette swatches
A.co isa brand I can't seem to find information on anywhere. When I was in Ardene, a store mainly found in Canada, I noticed a bunch of brightly coloured eyeshadow palettes from various brands that you can find on https://www.shopmissa.com/. This gorgeous glitter palette was the last of it's kind, so I quickly picked it up.

You're actually getting very little shimmer with this palette. What they've done is sprinkled the bulk of the glitter on top of a vaseline like base that contains very little glitter. You won't get more than maybe 3 or good uses from each shade. I don't have a problem with that because I never use glitter but want to have a variety of shades. Cosmetic grade glitter has never been cheap. You can easily spend $13-25 for one jar of glitter.

The shade range in this palette is perfect. This will not go well on top of your eyeshadow because the mineral oil base though. It just dissolves eyeshadow.  I pat this glitter on my inner corner without issue. If you're not planning on wearing eyeshadow, then you could add this anywhere. Probably face and lips are well.

Here's the first look I created. I used the fourth shade.

This palette is $6.50 CAD. They claim to not test on animals. It's made in China and contains no parabens. All I know is that you can find it at Ardene.

Kaia Naturals | Juicy Bamboo | Natural Facial Cleansing Oil Cloths

Kaia Naturals Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Oil Cloths review
$15.50 CAD | 30 Cloths | 99% Natural | Made in Canada | Paraben Free | Cruelty Free
This is another very cool product from kaia naturals! These are completely biodegradable face wipes harvested from unbleached bamboo fibers. You can plop them in your garden and they will slowly degrade in a few months.

These cloths are not intended to be a makeup remover. They do a pretty bad job at removing a full face of makeup since the formula is gentle (and the cloths aren't saturated enough for that). As the name suggests, these are intended for cleansing your face of dirt and excess oil without over-stripping your skin. And they're great for that. They remove excess oil on my face in a really gentle way. After use, my face feels clean but not dry. I also use these on my eyes and get no burning eye sensation at all. The cloths are very, very soft to touch and large enough for my whole face. I also love using these to sort of invigorate myself because they smell like delicious citrus. I read on their website that these are ideal for chemo-therapy patients.

Key Ingredients
Organic Honey | Jobaba Oil | Sunflower Oil | 8 Citrus Essential Oils | Vitmain C, E & B12 added

Makeup Artist Discount
These are perfect for makeup artists to give to clients to wipe their face with before makeup application. They currently offer a makeup artist discount for the individually-wrapped juicy bamboo cleansing oil cloths.

Final Thoughts
Once again, kaia naturals has done well! These are the perfect on-the-go face cleanser and pre-makeup application skin prep. I really like them even though they don't remove makeup. They do exactly what they claim to do - gently cleanse your face without stripping away your skins natural oil. I also love how healthy and eco-friendly they are. I recommend these.

Kaia Naturals | The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant Review

Kaia Naturals | The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant Review
99% Natural | Aluminum Free | Cruelty Free | Made in Canada | 65g/2.29oz | $21 CAD
Guys, this is the probably the best deodorant ever. I'm not a fan of conventional deodorants as they're not healthy and I find natural ones are often smelly, wet and sticky feeling. This deodorant is amazing in every way though. The scent is an extremely subtle rose smell and the finish is dry feeling and translucent. I've found it really does prevent smells completely on me and keeps me feeling dry. Sometimes i'll add it on sweat and it seems to mask the smell.

Kaia Naturals | The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant Review

How It Works

30 Day Challenge
The activated charcoal helps to pull any built-up toxins and bacteria from pores, leaving your sweat 'cleaner'. Remember that it's bacteria growth that makes sweat smell. After 30 days, you should smell cleaner.

I've never been a heavy sweater. The only time I really sweat under my underarms is in the heat or if i'm nervous. Some days I skip deodorant because I literally just don't need it (at home i'll just take a shower). I haven't been monitoring my smell often during this challenge because it's hard for me to notice but I can say after using this deodorant for about a month, I feel my underarm smells less like my usual underarm. No joke. If i've been sweating under my underarms, it smells a little like curry to me (lol, tmi?). I barely can detect that now, about a month after I started using this.

Final Thoughts
This deodorant in it's full size is definitely more expensive but it's totally worth it. It's healthier and works. I'm actually going to buy this once I use this one up. I'm thinking the lime mint flavour. Highly recommend!!!

Teeez Cosmetics Review | Eyeshadow Quad, Lipstick & Eyeliner

teeez cosmetics review haul bbloggersca eyeshadow quad equinox cloud nine eyeliner iron radiance lipstick material girl vogue purple flatlay
I was so excited to try these Teeez products. I liked Teeez Cosmetics before I even tried the products. Teeez originated from the best country ever - The Netherlands. The products come in super cute packaing. And most importantly, it's also one of the only cruelty free cosmetic companies to have it's own counter at Hudson's Bay. That's so exciting to me because before them, there were only companies like Clinque, Estee Lauder and Clarins to buy from. I've actually turned down jobs at these counters because I didn't want to push selling their products but I would happily work at the Teeez counter.

Applied on a light toned primer. Natural lighting.
This palette was a near hit for me. Three of the shadows are super pigmented but one of them was a complete fail. When I first swatched the palette, each shadow felt a little hard. After I swirled my finger in the pan quite a bit, the pigment started to loosen and I got some impressive swatches.

Shade 1: This is a subtle metallic lavender shade. It's one of the worst eyeshadows i've ever used. There is no pigment to this which is a bummer because it's really a gorgeous shade. I did a ton of swatches to get the colour to show up. Don't buy this palette for this shade.

Shade 2: This matte white is great. It's so buildable. You can get sheer or really opaque coverage. I really like it and have been using it on my inner corner everyday lately.

Shade 3: This is a nice gunmetal colour. It has fine shimmer in the pan but on the eye, it mostly looks matte. It's a great shade to transition into the matte black shade in the palette.

Shade 4: An amazing matte black! It's super pigmented and very dark. Love it.

Final Thoughts: This palette is hard to completely recommend because there is one dud shade which is a little unacceptable for a more expensive palette. If you push that aside, all the other eyeshadows are amazing and you get a fair bit of product in each pan! I do love this palette, I just wish that purple shade was better.

Is it just me, or is this lipstick making a lot of Madonna references? Anyways. I love this lipstick! It's literally the colour of an eggplant. It's very moisturizing, creamy, pigmented and smells like vanilla. Because this lipstick is so emollient, it can be a little...patchy? It's hard to explain but I need to make sure I apply an even coating. It's something no one but you would notice.

Final Thoughts: I'm so into this lipstick. I would prefer it to be matte because I a dark matte lipsticks, but that's just me. If you love a moisturizing lipstick, this will be your friend. I recommend it.

CLOUD NINE EYELINER - IRON RADIANCE

At-A-Glance
Made in EU. Paraben Free. Cruelty Free. Water-based. 4.0 ml/0.13 fl.oz. $23 USD/$24 CAD.

These are some beautiful, unique colours! I can't think of any other brand that has some of these metallic eyeliner shades. Those greens would definitely make a beautiful accent liner. I'm not a fan of the shade I have because I don't like a dark-toned metallic eyeliner because it's not a super noticeable accent when it does'n't catch the light. It's still gorgeous. Did you noticed that I mentioned above that this a water-based eyeliner? That means that this won't be waterproof. It does stay put on my eye very well though. I find this eyeliner feels a little dry on the eyes - almost like a hard layer. I can feel that i'm wearing it, especially if I squint my eyes. It slightly bugs me but the formula might be necessary for it to stay put like it does.

Final Thoughts: I've encountered no issues other than the hard feeling finish, so this get's a yes from me. If you have textured eyelids, you might want to pass on these because they really accentuate texture since they are metallic and dry to a hard layer. If a waterproof eyeliner is important to you, these aren't a great choice.

Mychelle Perfect C PRO Serum 25% REVIEW

Mychelle Perfect C PRO Serum 25% REVIEW

The Perfect C PRO Serum 25% is a welcomed addition to the Mychelle Vitamin C serum line. I've tried their Perfect C Serum 17% and I didn't like it because of it's strong alcohol scent. I'm happy to say this new serum is much better.

Mychelle Perfect C PRO Serum 25% REVIEW

Every vitamin C serum from Mychelle is not clear in colour but range from yellow to orange to umber. It's my understanding that if a serum is not clear, it has oxidized. Mychelle claims that that is not the case with their vitmain C serums. The Perfect C PRO Serum 25% has a umber colour. The bottle says that the product colour will darken over time. Most colours i've seen in other people's bottle are the same as mine. I'm not sure if my product will darken more over time, but if it becomes black, I certainly won't be using it.

The texture of this serum is sticky. It eventually dries so that it isn't tacky and feels little like a mask tightening mask is on your face. It looks a little shiny and there will be a slight orange look to your skin, so it's especially best to use this at night. Sometimes it dries like a hard white powder, especially if I add too much. That's probably vitamin c in power form or the sodium bicarbonate. This would't wear very well under makeup. When I apply a cream or oil on top, the serum will ball up so I like to let the serum sit on my face for for 30 minutes to an hour to let the benefits soak into my skin before I apply my moisturizer. Or i'll just wipe it off with a warm towel so I don't have to deal with the balled off product.

I'm happy to say this serum does not sting. The vitamin C concentration is much welcomes by me - the higher the better. With other serums, I get some stinging sensations, possibly from the alcohol. I get none of that, not even the strong alcohol scent. Instead it smells like fermented fruit. If your read the ingredients, you'll notice alcohol is towards the bottom of the ingredient list.

I like this serum a lot. It's 'texture problems' don't bother me much. I much prefer to have a serum like this one, that isn't too alcohol based. My PIH does look a little lighter since I started using this serum, about 1.5 months ago. Overall, I recommend.

You can buy this serum for $65 CND and $52 US. It's available in-store and at beautyBOUTIQUE.ca and the Mychelle website.
